Compost Doctor to offer tips

5 November 2009: The Compost Doctor will be helping to reduce waste on Eastside, Newhaven as part of The Eastside Challenge.

The project aims to reduce waste in the neighbourhood to zero. A compost morning will be held at The Engineer, Railway Road on Saturday 14 November. The event is one in a series to be staged as part of the year-long project.

From 10am until 12noon, residents will be able to get free advice and demonstrations on what food digester or compost system will suit their home, garden or business.

The event will be hands-on experience. The most popular types of compost containers will be available along with samples of compost and worm tea. Hot drinks and information about reducing waste will be available.
